Which AI engines do you track?

Short answer: ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity on every plan; Growth adds Claude and Google AI Overviews; Agency and Enterprise cover all seven including AI Mode and Copilot.

Seoptist tracks seven engines. Which ones you get depends on the plan:

EngineStarterGrowthAgency / Enterprise
ChatGPTYesYesYes
Google GeminiYesYesYes
PerplexityYesYesYes
ClaudeNoYesYes
Google AI OverviewsNoYesYes
Google AI ModeNoNoYes
Microsoft CopilotNoNoYes

Each engine is reached through its official API or a licensed data provider, never by scraping a consumer app. ChatGPT runs with web search enabled, Gemini with search grounding, Perplexity through Sonar and Claude through the Anthropic API with web search. Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Copilot come from SerpApi, which also lets us pass a UK location so that local answers reflect the town or city your customers are in.

Why three engines are enough for many local businesses: ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity cover the most common ways people ask an assistant for a recommendation, and they draw on noticeably different sources, so the spread between them is informative on its own.

Why bigger brands want five or seven: Google AI Overviews now sit above the organic results for many commercial queries in the UK, so a brand that ranks well but is missing from the overview is losing clicks it used to get. Copilot matters for B2B buyers inside Microsoft-heavy organisations.

Every prompt is asked three times per engine (five on Enterprise) each week, and the results are averaged. Engines can be switched on or off per brand inside the plan limit. Full plan details are at /pricing.
