How often should I check AI visibility?

Short answer: Weekly is the right cadence for most businesses; daily only matters during a launch, a rebrand or an active accuracy problem.

Weekly, for most businesses. AI answers change more slowly than they appear to, and the useful signal is the trend over several weeks rather than any single day.

The reason weekly works is that the things you can change (crawler access, structured data, page content, directory listings) take days to weeks to be re-crawled and reflected in answers. Checking daily mostly shows you the natural variation between runs, which is noise, not progress.

There are three situations where a faster cadence earns its cost:

  1. A launch or rebrand. You want to know as soon as the engines pick up the new name, address or product.
  2. An accuracy problem. If an assistant is quoting an old price or a closed branch, you want to know the day the fix lands.
  3. High-volume brands where a shift of a few points of share of voice is worth real money.

Equally important is how you check, not just how often. One manual question to one assistant tells you almost nothing, because the same prompt can produce different lists on consecutive runs. A sound measurement asks each prompt several times per engine and reports the proportion of answers that mention you.

Seoptist runs every tracked prompt three times per engine, weekly, on all plans, and charts visibility, share of voice and average position over time. Daily tracking is included on Enterprise and available as an add-on for 20 prompts on other plans. Every plan also allows a small number of manual runs per day for when you want to check a fix immediately.

If you are just starting, run the free check once, fix the obvious gaps, and begin weekly tracking from there.
